Meet your coach
“I’m not coaching from the other side of real life.”
I’m 46. I work two jobs, have a young family, and train around old injuries and imperfect sleep. Some weeks, I shorten the workout. Some weeks, I change the plan.
After more than 25 years of coaching—and my own recovery from heart surgery—I know this: the best program isn’t the one that looks perfect on paper. It’s the one that works for the person doing it.
Consistency isn’t never getting knocked off course. It’s knowing how to find your way back.
Read Dan’s storyWhat is a GRep?
Make Every Rep Count
You don’t need more exercises, longer workouts or more time in the gym.
You need the work you’re already doing to produce results.
A GRep is a Great Rep—a repetition performed with purpose. You use the intended muscles, maintain tension and control the resistance instead of relying on momentum.
Every GRep has five phases:
- Push or pull with the intended muscles.
- Pause in the contracted position under tension.
- Transition without releasing that tension.
- Control the weight on the return.
- Change direction without bouncing or momentum.
This gives you a clear standard for training and progression. When you can perform more repetitions or use more resistance without sacrificing that standard, you’re getting stronger.
As the set gets difficult, work hard—but don’t let fatigue turn the exercise into a different movement.
Why “GReps”?
The name connects three parts of the GReps story:
- Gittleson
- The coaching principles that shaped Dan’s foundation.
- Geraci
- More than 25 years spent developing and applying those principles.
- Great Reps
- The standard you’ll use to train, measure progress and build lasting strength.
You don’t need to make fitness your entire life. You need to make your reps count.
Strength that stays with you
Real people. Stronger for real life.
“I started working with Dan at age 55 - completely untrained. Over the past 10 years I've gained strength and confidence that have been truly life changing.”
“I've trained with Dan for over 15 years. In that time I've raised kids, earned a few promotions, and am approaching retirement. I was never too busy or beat up to train under his guidance.”
